Schedule:

Monday

Arrival - Participants will arrive mid day on Monday and get settled into lodging.  Shortly after we will meet up together to get acquainted and to orient to the amenities and highlights of the 980 acres of nature.

Introduction to sound -Thomasina and Bob will kick off the retreat by sharing some insight around the importance of a personal practice and how simple it can actually be.  Then we will go over the practice of using sound as a meditative and attention training tool.  We will discuss active listening and you will get to know some of the different instruments we use and why.  There will be plenty of time for dialog and to ask questions and even practice playing some of the instruments yourself.   We will leave space for everyone to reset before the public large group sound meditation experience in the early evening.

Evening Public Sound Meditation-Brief instruction, 30 minutes of yoga/breathwork, 60 minutes of sound.

Community Meal and Retire for Rest - We will have a Lovely and nourishing catered meal prepared for the retreat participants following the Group Sound meditation. We have partnered with Änna's Kitchen out of Marine on St. Croix.  There will be an opportunity to connect, share and integrate for those that feel inclined to do so.  After the meal the remainder of the evening will be casual and participants will have time to retire to the shared quarters to sleep.

Tuesday:

Morning Yoga/Movement and Breakfast - All participants are encouraged to attend the morning yoga/movement practice together. We will use this practice to gain insight into the relationship between body and mind.  We will provide a lighter breakfast that will be available both before and after the session.  Some free time to explore your own curiosity will follow.  (Play instruments, hike, journal, connect with others, etc.)

Instruction session followed by Light Lunch - Thomasina and Bob will have some information to share around techniques that will be pertinent to the experiential session in the afternoon.  This is a great place to bring your questions and dig deep into how your practice might unfold.  This will be followed by a light, easily digestible lunch in the early afternoon.  (Often meals are kept on the lighter side so that digestion does not interfere with the experiential sessions of the retreat.  Dinners will be full and satisfying where all participants should feel well fed before retiring in the evening.)

Afternoon experiential session and integration time - We will facilitate a breathwork and sound practice, after which we will allow room for sharing, integration, and connection.  Alternatively, some participants may choose to find a quiet space to journal, reflect and reset in solitude.

Evening Cacao and Sound - We will serve some Ceremonial Cacao to facilitate softening and opening up before dropping in to the evening Sound Meditation.  Depending on the impact of the Cacao, this session may have an increased focus on vocal toning, engaging with emotion, and the act of connection.  (Connection to self, to others, and to life.)

Community Meal, Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) and Retire for Rest - We have another beautiful catered meal prepared following the Group Sound meditation where there will be more opportunity to connect, share and integrate for those that feel inclinded to do so.  After the meal, participants can join the group yoga nidra and mini sound session before retiring to the shared quarters.

(Yoga nidra is practiced from a resting position, bringing you to that state of consciousness between wakefulness and dreams.)

Wednesday:

Morning Yoga and Breakfast - All participants are encouraged to attend morning yoga practice together.  We will provide a lighter breakfast that will be available both before and after the session.  Some free time to explore your own curiosity will follow.

Morning Experiential Session and Closing Circle - We will share one final group experience and allow time to integrate  the practices you may be planning to add into your daily life.  Then we will participate in a closing circle and group share for anyone that has something to offer or who may benefit from being heard and witnessed.

Departure - Casually collecting belongings from the living quarters and heading out into the world.  (Some may choose to share a final meal at a restaurant in town on their way home.)
