About the Event

Grief is a natural and necessary process for dealing with loss. Everyone grieves differently and in their own time. Allowing yourself to fully experience, express, and process grief can help you accept the reality of what has happened and find peace. Finding meaning in the loss and understanding how it has changed us can allow us to move forward and live life differently.

In this session, we will guide you through a meditative experience to connect with yourself. Through breathwork and the use of overtone-producing instruments, you will be able to release tension and focus on the present moment. We will encourage active listening and receptivity to allow a full embrace of the emotions that may be just under the surface, whether they be grief, joy, vulnerability, compassion or strength.

This session is an alternative form of grief support that is driven by active breathwork, mindful listening, and tuning into one’s own emotions. Join Bob and Thomasina Fisk of Waking Nomad as they guide you through this healing and meditative journey in the historic Lakewood Memorial Chapel.

What to Bring
  • (optional) A blanket, pillow, or mat – please note all seating is in pews, but many guests like to lay down in the pews, or find them more comfortable with a blanket or pillow
  • (optional) Water bottle – no other food or beverage is allowed in the chapel
Tickets at the Door

If an event is not sold out, tickets may be available at the door. At this time we only accept cash or check at the door.
